Providing Peer to Peer Feedback

Students have created an Electronic Portfolio of their work using Google Sites.  Students have now journaled about both their practice math project and their first independent project.  In an effort to help support each other, students read through a peer's ePortfolio and gave them feedback on (1) Organization of their ePortfolio, (2)Mechanics in their writing, (3)Connections to the rubric for the project, and (4)Facts versus Reflective learning.  They then had to identify something they personally needed to improve on in their own ePortfolio.

Students are currently 3D modeling.  They are using a variety of software applications including TinkerCAD, Google SketchUp and AutoDesk Inventor (depending on pre-existing knowledge)!  With the modeling, students are asked to create their first 3D model and print it off on the MakerBot 3D printers.

Playing with Arduino!

Students were learning the basics of coding/programming by using Arduino tools.  For many, it was their first time with programming or using breadboards.  Students had some exciting ideas on what they would do with an Arduino on future projects!
